PINCOPATA CAMP – TILCA & CHOQUECHURCO – PINCOPATA

After you have enjoyed breakfast, our journey continues toward the village of Tilca where we will walk uphill towards the “Apus” or sacred mountains, on the way we will appreciate the typical Andean vegetation and stunning views of the valley and at the top a few stairs can be observe this had a religious purpose during the Incas time. After our guide hade provide more details, we will start our descending to Marcahuaylla. From there we will take a different path that will lead us to the archeological ruins of Choquechurco which means place where gold reside. This is a unique site, that has remained unknown to many but that we love to visit. Located hidden in a Polylepis trees forest, this site will give you the satisfaction of become a real explorer.
Besides, we will delve into religious enclosures, settlements and Inca walls that mostly will be covered on the vegetation that grows in the area. We will also have fantastic views of the Apu Humantay, the Limatambo valley, Apurimac and the Mollepata village. Being rewarded but such stunning sights, we will make a stop to enjoy lunch, before continue on our journey toward our ecologic camp of Pincopata.
